Sushi candy

March 13, 2010

I knew you have been thinking long and hard about what you would serve the kids when you have a sushi party?

It has kept you up at night, hasn’t it?

Here’s a suggestion…

Sushi Candy of course!

This will definitely keep them up all night.  Call me a bad mother if you wish.  Warn me of the tooth decay.  But understand that this is just a blog post.  I don’t really feed my kid this, while I eat raw fish, nor do I feed my kid raw fish.

Chocolate for breakfast on the other hand…

Hey….don’t judge.  Nutella is delicious on bagels!

But that is neither here nor there.

You want to know how to make sushi candy.

1.  Make a batch of rice crispy treats…I am not going to tell you how to do that.  Read the pack of marshmallows for that.  Pour them into a jelly roll pan so they are somewhat flatter than usual.

2.  Slice candy jellied fruit slices or whatever you can find that is colorful and delicious into thin slices  and lay them over the rice crispy treats on one side of the jelly roll pan.

3.  Roll the end of rice crispy treats and over the jelly candies and roll till the end.

4.  Slice into 8 slices and Roll fruit by the foot around the slices.

5.  You can also cut a powdered mini donut in half and wrap a swedish fish with sour candy straw around it.

Yummy Gummy Gum yum.
